Dave Menard is the co-owner of Core Financial with his wife, Alexia Smaller, based in Fort Collins, CO. Since 1988 he has worked in the financial services field, helping successful executives, business owners, individuals, and families with wealth management.

Dave graduated from Western State in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in business. Since beginning his career, he has become licensed with FINRA series 7, 63,66, his Life and Health, and Long-Term Care. He holds the LUTCF designation which is expert training in understanding the life insurance options available to people from all walks of life. Sharing his knowledge with others is a major part of Dave’s philosophy and believes his role as a wealth advisor is to provide comprehensive financial guidance to aid his clients in the pursuit of their financial goals.

Dave became a qualifying life member in 2012 of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), an organization recognized internationally as the standard of the life insurance sales performance, and in 2022 qualified for the Top of the Table bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to his clients.

Dave is a member of NAIFA, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He has also been a member of the international association GAMA, General Agents and Managers Association, earning the distinction as the first recipient of the Brian H. Early Frontline Excellence Award which recognized his outstanding leadership.

Acting on their strong belief of the importance of giving back to their community, Dave and his wife support several charitable organizations, locally and internationally, through their sponsorship and/or donations of time and resources. In his spare time, Dave enjoys spending as much time as possible with their two grandchildren and his family since his brothers all live close by. He and Alexia love to travel in the US and abroad.
